Description

This beautiful reversible board has a tenframe and large number tracing section on one side and number counting and their associated value ball pockets on the other side. 

Tracing side

  • Place the number of balls on the top ten frame and trace the corresponding number with finger or the stick.
  • You can fill the numbers will playdough, balls, stones, marbles, or shells for a sensory experience.
  • Tracing the big numbers and associating it with its value builds muscle memory for children on how to draw that number.

Counting side

  • See the progression of numbers - how 2 is one more than 1 and 3 is one more than 2, etc.
  • Odd and even. Point out how the odd number has 1 single pocket whereas even numbers have a pair. Point out how the even numbers add one row to pockets.
  • Basic arithmetic. 
  • Has pocket to store balls and the dowel stick.

This material can be purchased single sided (just the tracing or just the coubting side) or reversible, double sided (both).

This material is made of maple and measures 11"x 7.5".
