Coin equivalency puzzle - teach kids about money

Coin equivalency puzzle (can be made for Canadian coins and Euros as well).

Made of hardwood maple, this puzzle has 12 pairs of puzzle pieces, self correcting. One side of the puzzle pieces featuring 4 coins - penny, nickel, dime and quarter (both front and back of the coin). The other matching side has value in cents and different ways to make up that denomination.

This work will allow the child to develop an understanding of coin recognition and coin value, while refining their fine motor skills, spatial awareness, concentration, and sense of order. 

A variation of this work for a younger child will simply be to match the puzzle pieces without knowledge or regard for the coin recognition or value. The exposure to the visuals will not go unnoticed, however, allowing them to absorb information over time.
