This material comes with the tracing board as well as a wooden "pencil" to practice writing; of course, fingers are always the first writing tool.
If your child enjoys this work and would like an added challenge, you can ask them to choose letters to trace out of alphabetical order or tell them letters to trace out of alphabetical order. You can also introduce a tray with sand/sugar/coffee grounds to allow the child to practice writing their letters without the added support of the arrows on the board.
This material is sized generously at 8"x19". It's the perfect size for the child's lap and allows for independent accessibility.
